The primary mission of the Alpha School is to help students with behavioral/emotional conditions who have been unable to maintain traditional school placement. This is achieved through an intergration of behavioral and academic instruction. Our goal for each student is to successfully transition to a less restrictive placement.
As many of you know, the Social Worker's put together a monthly Caregiver Night offering an opportunity for caregivers to come learn about various topics, ask questions, and feel included in your child's school. It also provides a chance to talk about your frustrations and find support and ideas from others who may be dealing with similar challenges. Here are the details for the next Caregiver Night:
“How Sleep can Impact Your Child's Success at School”
Monday, September 10th from 6:00-7:00 PM
During this time Alpha School staff will provide childcare for your student and any other children in your care. We will also provide dinner for both you and your child(ren). If you or any of your children have food allergies we ask you contact one of the School Social Worker's so we can make accommodations.
Please reach out to us to let us know you are planning to attend so that we may have enough food/staff for everyone. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to call.
Sincerely, Mrs. Stevens and Ms. McFarland,
your friendly Alpha School Social Workers
